Hey everyone,

I´m have desided to do my blog in english because then everyone can understand, also for the people that i have met during my travels. I should have my own website by now, but i´m lazy, enjoying the hot weather more then sitting behind a computer :P.

So yea, here I am, in middle west guatamala, near some maya ruins called tac kal. , just a 5 ours bus ride *west out of belize city. After chilling out a lot on cay calker island, i made some international friends, and last monday we desided to come here, to check out the fire festifal on the 21(longest day of the year maya ritual or something), and check out this place called florance, witch is kinda like an island here... in the tropic area here now i´m more land inwards..

I should tell you first about the sailing trip i talked about last time (i mentioned it in dutch in my last blog).
So, i went with this guy called steve, who lives on the island and had his own boat, we started late, because the guy whent to jail overnight for smoking w. on the street.. so we started at 12, cruized out to some snorkeling spot, snorkeld, chilled drinking punch and eating fresh fruit, and when to the next spot where we snorkeled with 12 sting rays, (not so big.. biggest would have been like 1,5 meters, the rest where like around 1 meter long/wide, and very flat :P) Yea, so many of them, and the came so close that we (i did the tour with 7 peaple, 3 swedish girls, a couple south afrikan couple, stefe and 1). stefe even managed to pick up a mantaray, and i held that big fish for a while as well. these stingrays are not agressive at all, but when i picked up their food they bumped in to me so i droped it :P.

Anyways, last stop we swam/snorkeled around the outer reef, in the deep part of the ocean, with stefe as our guild. and then we chilled some more on the boat...

The next day i did an other sailing trip, this time on a small sailing boat that the canadian guy called Kory hired, and then we went with a group of.. 4 guys 2 girls, and some drinks, and we made a booz cruize around some islands, got stuck on a sandbank for a while, but with good team work we managed to survive that adventure :P. Same night i was playing drinking games at the hostel drinking the cheap but good belizian rum, with pineaple juice from a liter can. and rum cola.. that was a fun.. day...

in the mean time i was hanging out with kory all the time, everyone did, cauze he knew what there was to do on the island, where to go for food and stuff.. And i ended up paying him in beers for sleeping at his place :P.

After that we whent with 5 guys to guatamala, and english, dutch, calafornian, canadian, and a turkish guy, who are all cool experianced travelers and it was very relax to travel with them (someone always knows where to go, its really really relax..) So yea, after crossing the boarder, and taking this express bus over the most dangerous road in central amarika, i could understand why.. very bad road.. (because busses get robbed there too mutch, gun point robberies.., everybody is allowed to carry a gun here.. esta loco!) but yea, the landscape changed, and it was all cool.. after taking a shuttle bus and turning up and down small roads we got into this hostel, that is owned by a dutch guy from den helder, and the hostel and restaurant combination reminded me of ¨het paradijs¨ in enschede...

So yea, guatamala is very cheap, you get your self a nice diner for like 3 euro, and a bed for maby 5 euro a night. but i´m sleeping in a hired hammik(hangmat). its was a bit cold... didn´t have a blanked or pillow(did have a t-shirt saying ¨Torro¨ and ¨barcelona¨ to sleep on.. ;)

well. i kinda have to go do something while i´m here, can´t just sit around on the internet all the time...

I´ll updat this later,

Owyea, my plan is kinda to go south to guatamala city and like fly to venesuala or suriname or something, so i can make it in time for the carnafal in brazil..

But as some of you know.. my plans can still change...

and owyea, on the carribian island cay calker I also got an addition to my look, a rasta neklace, that was given to me by a guy that started a little necklace and armwrest selling business, i gave him 70 belize(25 euro..) to set it up, and a few days later he already sold stuff for 15 dollar in a day, and later give me this colourful wristband that supposed to took him 2 days to make... Its all cool..

yea, its cheap here.. i´m gonne enjoy it some more!

Cya later!

Peace,
Albert
